Margaret “Peggy” Costello never set out to launch one of Michigan’s most influential pro bono programs; she just saw what needed to be done and did it.
What began as one lawyer’s conviction to serve grew into a defining part of Dykema’s culture. In this conversation, the longtime litigator, mentor, and law professor reflects on the origins of the firm’s pro bono program, the power of mentorship, and why her drive to help others hasn’t slowed, even in “retirement.”
