When U.S. District Judge Damon Keith ruled against warrantless surveillance, the government sued him personally. Keith called Dykema partner William Gossett. Gossett took the case pro bono and won 9-0 at the Supreme Court. The case helped bring down a presidency and established Fourth Amendment protections that endure more than 50 years later.
