Driving Forward
1926. Dykema's first automotive work was repossessing cars. One hundred years later, we're litigating the ones that drive themselves.
What happened in between is the story of a law firm and an industry that grew up together — through oil shocks and emissions standards, through product liability explosions and supply chain crises, through the collapse of old models and the rise of new ones.
When the auto industry expanded beyond Detroit, Dykema moved with it. When vehicles became computers, Dykema learned to speak both languages.
That kind of depth doesn't happen by accident. It happens because the people doing the work grew up in the shadow of the plants, have family working the line, and understand how this industry thinks, moves, and evolves.
One hundred years in, that's still the difference.
